Dairy Processing Instruments On Dispaly

Advanced Instruments CryoscopeIf you think processing dairy products is as simple as pumping milk into a container then think again. Today’s processing facilities are miracles of technology. One of the companies that’s supplying their need is Advanced Instruments. They make things like this cryoscope. In case you don’t know what it does:

Cryoscopy is used to accurately and rapidly determine the amount of added water that is present in a milk sample. Present cryoscope technology is semi-automated and utilizes the Freezing Point depression method. Samples are tested before raw milk is unloaded into storage. Finished products also are tested for water content for quality assurance purposes.

Of four common tests that represent a large percentage of work in most cooperative, regulatory, and dairy processor laboratories, Advanced Instruments offers solutions for them all.

From cryoscopy and pasteurization testing, to component analysis and microbiological profiling, Advanced Instruments and its subsidiaries, Spiral Biotech and Delta Instruments – backed by more than 50 years’ experience – deliver industry-leading dairy, food products testing and analysis solutions to cooperative, regulatory and processor dairy labs around the world.

Advanced Instruments will be exhibiting in booth number 3938 at the 2006 IFT (Institute of Food Technologists) Annual Meeting+ FOOD EXPO, June 25-27, in Orlando.

  1. Cryoscope — Honestly my first time to hear about this machine/instrument. How big is this? So if you are using this, you can’t put on a large amount of milk/liquid to check the water content because it looks like a small device. I wonder how the ancient people process their dairy products, for sure their technology isn’t that advanced like what we have.
