Accelerated Genetics Releases New PACE Sires

Accelerated Genetics released 12 new bulls for the Progressive Action Through Cooperative Efforts (PACE) program this week. Ayrshire, Jersey, and Holstein bulls will be randomly sampled by dairy producers participating in Accelerated Genetics’ PACE program.

Ayrshire Sire:
014AY00026 Sunrise-Ridge Charlie is a uniquely bred young sire is an Eastern son, who is leading the LPI sire list in Canada. Charlie’s dam, a Griffey daughter, is scored Excellent-90 and has completed a record of 29,270 pounds of milk, 1086 pounds of fat and 911 pounds of protein. Griffy is the number one PTI active AI sire and the number one net merit active AI sire. Charlie was bred by Todd Frescura of Latrobe, Pennsylvania.

Jersey Sires:
A Rebel son from the Babe family, 014JE00477 Long Distance Rebel Ben is a new young sire in the Jersey breed. leads the breed in udder cleft improvement. His dam is a Very Good-87% Paramount daughter with 20,610 pounds of milk, 875 pounds of fat, and 701 pounds of protein. The third dam is a Very Good-87% Bold daughter and also the dam of 014JE00396 Rampant, who currently ranks among the top milk bulls in the breed. Ben was bred by Don Wilterdink of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin.

014JE00480 Molly Brook Sultan Flaming-ET brings top production genetics, great type and outstanding udders to the young sire line-up. He is a son of Sultan, the high component Centurion son known for shallow udders. His dam is an Excellent, high index Fair daughter. She currently ranks in the top 5 for JPI, and holds two records over 20,000 pounds of milk. The next dam is an Excellent View daughter with a top record of over 27,000 pounds of milk and nearly 1300 pounds of fat. Flaming was bred by Molly Brook Farms of West Danville, Vermont.

Holstein Sires:
