New Director Appointments for NMC

NMClogoThe National Mastitis Council (NMC) announced new appointments to its board of directors, and newly elected officers. NMC promotes research and provides information to the dairy industry on udder health, milking management, milk quality, and milk safety.

Newly-elected Directors include Dr. Sheila Andrew, Storrs, Conn.; Tom Herremans, Novi, Mich.; Steve Larson, Fort Atkinson, Wis.; and Norm Schuring, Naperville, Ill.

In addition to the new board members, officers were elected by and from the collective Board of Directors and serve one-year terms. Elected to serve as officers for 2007 were Jeff Johnson from Land O’Lakes in Grove City, Minn. as president; Dr. Larry Fox from Washington State University, Pullman, Wash. as first vice-president; Norm Schuring from WestfaliaSurge, Naperville, Ill. as second vice-president; Eric Hillerton from Dexcel, Hamilton, New Zealand as secretary; and. Pam Ruegg from the University of Wisconsin-Madison as treasurer.
