The Dairy Calf & Heifer Association award two people with their 2011 Outstanding Industry recognition award. Congratulations to Darren VanBuuren, president and owner of Agri-Plastics of Grassie, Ontario, Canada, and Allin Butcher, director of sales and marketing for ROTO-MIX of Dodge City, Kan.
Mr. VanBuuren and his company, Agri-Plastics, saw the need to supply dairy calf and heifer growers with a quality line of calf hutches, group hutches, indoor calf pens and other products that not only saved time but also improved the health of the livestock.
For several decades, Mr. Butcher’s company, ROTO-MIX, has been the premier livestock mixer and feeder equipment manufacturer, with multiple manufacturing facilities, retail locations and more than 150 dealers providing local sales and service in the U.S. ROTO-MIX also has sales in more than 35 international markets.
Thanks to Agri-Plastics’ and ROTO-MIX’s generous support over the last several years, DCHA has been able to continue to provide members and the industry with up-to-date information about raising quality dairy calves and heifers.
