eatcurds1A new website celebrates the unofficial snack of America’s Dairyland, cheese curds. The Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board (WMMB) has launched EatCurds.com, dedicated to the one-of-a-kind squeaky treat.

Visitors to EatCurds.com will learn how cheese curds are made, why they squeak, how to keep them fresh and where to find them. An interactive map includes listings for creameries, retail stores and restaurants that offer fresh curds in Wisconsin, as well as mail-order sites that ship curds across the country. The site also includes a recipe collection featuring new ways to enjoy cheese curds with recipes like Chorizo Burgers with Cheese Curd Corn Relish and Biscuits with Cheese Curds and Blueberry Preserves.

“Wisconsin cheese curds are a quintessential piece of our state’s food culture,” said Heather Porter Engwall, director of national product communications. “Anyone who has roots in Wisconsin or has spent time here shares our collective love for curds – fried, fresh or melted. We’re thrilled to launch this new site and dedicate this summer to celebrating this Wisconsin delicacy.”

This summer, cheese curd fans can visit EatCurds.com to enter to win one of 94 daily Cheese Curd Prize Packages featuring fresh Wisconsin curds and other cheese curd swag. Winners will be randomly selected daily all summer long through September 22.
