- Amanda Gibson has joined the United Dairymen of Idaho as the new manager of business development and processor relations. She will serve as a vital link between Idaho’s dairy farm families and the larger dairy industry supply chain, helping build demand and growing sales.
- Purina Animal Nutrition hired Dari Brown Ph.D., as the senior director of technical sales and marketing services. She will be leading Purina’s technical services team as well as working closely with the international development group and the Purina nutritional additives and research and development teams.
- State beef councils in seven states have been awarded grants from the Federation Initiative Fund grant program for upcoming efforts to increase consumer demand for beef in their states. The grants from the Federation of State Beef Councils are made to states with substantial consumer populations.
- USPOULTRY and the USPOULTRY Foundation have approved a total of $288,664 for seven new research grants at three institutions. Those receiving grants include the University of Georgia, USDA Agriculture Research Service and the University of Delaware.
