  • The American Hereford Association has announced that ROF Time Is Money 311A ET was named supreme champion bull for the second year at the Keystone International Livestock Exposition (KILE) in Harrisburg, Pa. The champion Hereford female, LCC TG Be My Merry Time 7B, earned the reserve supreme honor.
  • Cody McKinley has been hired by the National Pork Producers Council as director of State and National Relations, the primary point of contact for state pork organizations with NPPC.
  • Northwest Missouri Beef Producers Seminar will be Thursday, Nov. 12, at the St. Peter Catholic Church parish hall in Stanberry, Mo. Registration begins at 5 p.m. with the seminar to start at 6 p.m.
  • Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) officially announced plans to build a dairy ingredients plant in Garden City, Kansas. Slated for operation by the end of 2017, the 214,000-square-foot plant, located at 330 S. Highway 83 in Garden City, will bring 60 new, full-time jobs to the area.
