usfra-logo The entire “Day on a Farm” online video series, presented by U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance® (USFRA®), is officially live on YouTube and social media. Consumers and agriculture industry professionals alike are invited and encouraged to view, share, and discuss the series with others.

The series of four videos, created in collaboration with the popular online kitchen and home destination Food52, intends to serve as a valuable resource for consumers interested in learning more about where their food comes from, and offers them a window into a variety of modern production methods found on American farms.

Food52 “More than ever, people are interested in learning how their food is grown and raised, but most don’t have an opportunity to hear directly from farmers and ranchers or to see food production in action,” said USFRA CEO Randy Krotz. “America’s farms and ranches are as diverse as the consumers who eat their food – and our goal is to show a variety of farming and ranching practices and the people at the forefront of these practices. USFRA is excited to partner with the Food52 community to bring food production to life.”

The series showcases several different farmers and ranchers throughout the United States, and highlights the diversity in the types of production operations utilized in modern agriculture. The producers share their life’s work with the public, discuss the production and management methods used each day on their operations, and give their personal outlook on many common food production practices such as antibiotics, GMOs, sustainability, and animal welfare while growing and raising food.

The videos add to the library of educational resources that USFRA launched in 2014, entitled How To Farm, and can be found on USFRA’s website and Facebook page, as well as Food52’s YouTube channel.
