cic-16-353-editedFor over ten years New Holland Agriculture has been honored to provide equipment leases to winning state affiliates for their outstanding efforts to recruit new members to the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. This year the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association (MCA) earned the use of a New Holland Roll-Belt™ 560 Specialty Crop round baler or a one-year lease on a New Holland T6 175 tractor. The organizations received their awards during the Best of Beef Breakfast at the 2016 Cattle Industry Convention in San Diego.

“New Holland recognizes the incredible state-led volunteer efforts that are required to achieve NCBA member recruitment goals,” said Michael Cornman, Dairy & Livestock Marketing Segment Manager. “Grassroots membership engagement is critical to building a strong voice for state affiliates and the NCBA as we work in partnership to secure the cattle industry’s future. New Holland is devoted to making sure cattle producers are equipped to meet the challenges of farm and ranch life. This state affiliate lease program is meant to reward outstanding states that excelled in the fourth quarter of 2015.”

For the third year in a row, the MCA automatically earned one of these leases for the most recruits for the contest period. Butch Meier, cattlemen from Jackson, Missouri and president-elect for MCA said “The leadership at MCA has led to membership growth and we see the benefits and supports of NCBA. That is why selling memberships is so easy.”

MCA auctions off the New Holland lease each year during their steak fry which supports their activities including youth events and policy issues at the state level.

Also in the top five state affiliates for NCBA membership recruitment were: Kansas Livestock Association, Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, California Cattlemen’s Association and Tennessee Cattlemen’s Association.

California Cattlemen’s Association also won a one-year lease by winning the drawing of the 11 qualifying affiliates, which included: California Cattlemen’s Association, Colorado Cattlemen’s Association, Hawaii Cattlemen’s Council, Indiana Beef Cattle Association, Kansas Livestock Association, Michigan Cattlemen’s Association, Minnesota State Cattlemen’s Association, Nebraska Cattlemen, Ohio Cattlemen’s Association, Utah Cattlemen’s Association, and Wisconsin Cattlemen’s Association.
