- Ron Santoro, Collegeville, Pa., has been named the Certified Hereford Beef (CHB) LLC Regional Brand Manager for the Northeast Region. Santoro joins the CHB LLC team with more than 20 years in the restaurant and meat industry. As Northeast Region Brand Manager, Santoro will maintain and grow existing retail and food service business as well as create consumer awareness of the brand in the Northeast region.
- Cooperatives Working Together (CWT) has accepted 6 requests for export assistance from Dairy Farmers of America, Michigan Milk Producers Association and Northwest Dairy Association (Darigold) who have contracts to sell 747,367 pounds of Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, and 1.102 million pounds of whole milk powder to customers in Asia and South America.
- Penn State University recently received a $10,000 student recruiting grant from the USPOULTRY Foundation. The funds will be used to help introduce new initiatives as well as expand upon successful programs and activities from the past year.
