Hip Chick Farms was founded by Serafina Palandech and her wife Chef Jennifer Johnson, formerly chef under the legendary organic food pioneer Alice Waters and Executive Chef for the famed Getty family in San Francisco. They are carried by major distributors like Whole Foods and Sprouts, and in 2015, FORTUNE and Food & Wine Magazine named the founders two of the “Most Innovative Women in Food.”

“Astra Women’s Business Alliance, as the WBENC certifying partner organization, is proud to welcome Hip Chick Farms, Inc into the WBENC National Certification Program,” said Diane McClelland, Astra Women’s Business Alliance, President/CEO. “This will give them opportunities to grow their company plus create strategic alliances with over 12,000 other WBENC Certified WBEs.”

“Hip Chick Farms is thrilled to have achieved Women-Owned Certification from WBENC and to be partnered with this important group. Diversity and transparency is at the core of Hip Chick Farms’ business model. We are changing the face of agriculture and the poultry industry,” said Serafina Palandech, President and Co-Founder of Hip Chick Farms.
