  • The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Deputy Commissioner for Foods and Veterinary Medicine Michael Taylor announced that he is leaving the agency. As part of a succession plan that ensures both continuity in the program and strong new leadership for the future, Dr. Stephen Ostroff will become the second Deputy Commissioner for Foods and Veterinary Medicine upon Mr. Taylor’s departure. Dr. Ostroff led the FDA as acting commissioner until the recent confirmation of Dr. Robert Califf as FDA commissioner.
  • AQHA is offering three paid internships each semester: a Communications and Digital Marketing internship, Marketing and Publicity internship, and an AQHA Media internship.
  • BioZyme® recently hired Cody Jensen of St. Joseph, MO as Quality Control and Production Efficiency Coordinator. In his new position, Jensen is responsible for ensuring that quality parameters are met during product receiving, manufacturing and delivery.
  • Cody Sankey of Economy, Ind., will represent the American Angus Association during the 2016 Young Cattlemen’s Conference (YCC), hosted June 1-9 by the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA). The annual event is considered the premier leadership development program within the cattle industry, and the Angus Foundation is proud to sponsor one attendee each year.
