  • The American Angus Association invites cattlemen and women to register for the 2016 Angus Convention hosted Nov. 5-7 in Indianapolis, Ind.
  • Cooperatives Working Together (CWT) has accepted eight requests for export assistance from Dairy Farmers of America and Northwest Dairy Association (Darigold). The organizations have contracts to sell 1.830 million pounds of Cheddar, Gouda and Monterey Jack cheese, as well as 110,231 pounds of butter to customers in Asia, the Middle East and Oceania in the period from August through December 2016.
  • Diageo, the company behind the world’s top selling liqueur brand, Baileys, has named Hallow Advent Twizzle 3 as the 2016 Diageo Baileys Irish Champion. The cow, owned by Philip and Linda Jones from Killowen Gorey, Co. Wexford, received the honor during the Virginia Agricultural Show in Co. Cavan, and was recognized for strength and form in body conformation as well as proven excellence in quality milk production.
