IPPE Continues “30 under 30” Program

IPPE The International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) is currently seeking applicants for the fifth annual Young Leaders “30 Under 30” Young Professionals Program, which targets young professionals who normally would not have the financial resources or opportunity to attend IPPE.

Selected participants will receive complimentary registration to attend the 2017 IPPE, held in Atlanta, Georgia, from Jan. 31 – Feb. 2, 2017. They will also receive hotel accommodations for two nights and admittance to all complimentary education programs and one paid program.

30under30_newThe Young Leaders program was developed as a resource to help the industry engage and invest in the industry’s young professionals, recognize professional leadership qualities, and provide qualified participants with an opportunity to experience all of the opportunities available to them at IPPE.

The program also provides education to further training in each person’s respective industry, and will expose the recipients to the latest technology used in the industry.

Applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 29 and must currently be employed by companies directly involved in the production and processing of poultry and meat, or in the production of animal or poultry feed.

Membership of at least one of the following IPPE sponsors is also required for all applicants: American Feed Industry Association (AFIA), North American Meat Institute (NAMI) or U.S. Poultry & Egg Association (USPOULTRY).

Applications are due Oct. 15 and will be reviewed by a panel of industry professionals. Selected applicants will be notified by November 1. No more than two applicants from a single member organization may be nominated. The application and details about the program are available here.
