Alltech hosted a Calf Immunity Forum full of experts discussing the latest strategies and newest technologies for a profitable calf immunity program during the 2017 Cattle Industry Convention and NCBA Trade Show. Scours, pathogen build-up, bad weather and other challenges can hurt your cattle and your bottom line. Alltech’s trademark technology, BIO-MOS, has been on the market for over 20 years driving gut health in cattle at any age.
The panelist included Dr. Brian Dorcey, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Medical Center/Prairie Livestock Supply; Dr. Matt Hersom, associate professor, University of Florida; and Steve Elliott, global director, Alltech mineral management division; Randy Asher, Alltech regional sales manager. Alltech’s Brian Lawless served as moderator and took time to share more with me.
“If you have a healthy gut, cattle can take in nutrition, process it effectively and a producer can have the confidence to know they are still going to be profitable at the end of the day.”
Brian said producers must be proactive. You can’t wait until an animal is sick to fix it. “BIO-MOS and really Alltech’s approach to everything is to stay ahead of the challenges. Before an animal is sick, how can we set them up nutritionally to adjust to those challenges.”
Listen to my complete interview with Brian to learn more about BIO-MOS and the extensive global testing Alltech has completed proving it can not only compete with other antibiotic alternatives, but exceed them in terms of efficiency and profitability. Interview with Brian Lawless, Alltech
