Many reporters are here at World Dairy Expo and sometimes you get to see them in action, especially the broadcasters like Emery Kleven, Waitt Farm Radio Network. Emery is also currently the President of the National Association of Farm Broadcasters.

Collegiate Competition Results
This morning the winners of the National Intercollegiate Judging Contest were announced. Please see the World Dairy Expo website for the results as soon as they can get them posted.
Post Secondary Awards
The International Post-Secondary Judging Contest awards were given out at a breakfast this morning in the Exhibition Hall. For a list of the winners please keep your eye on the World Dairy Expo website. I’m not going to post winners here since you’ll be able to find them there as soon as they can get them posted.

You never know what you’ll find when you wander around the Expo. Here’s the Longview Theater where you can sit down and relax and learn a little.
Interview With The GM
The General Manager of World Dairy Expo is Tom McKittrick. I found him calm and relaxed this opening morning and interviewed him about how things look early in the first day.
Exhibits Are Open
The Exhibition Hall is open and it’s big. In fact there’s exhibits everywhere. Inside, outside, down the hallways, in other building, the Coliseum, literally everywhere! It’ll take days to visit them all and I’m not even going to try to take pictures of all of them. This one of Westphalia Surge might give you some idea of how big some of the exhibits are. There’s is not only on two sides of an aisle but them across another aisle that I couldn’t even fit into the picture.
Live From Madison, It's World Dairy Expo
It’s opening day so “Welcome To World Dairy Expo!” Here’s what you’ll see on the way in. Volunteers in yellow shirts who are all smiling and ready to greet the crowds. I came in early but the gates were already pretty active.
Competition Results Tomorrow
I know everyone is wondering about the results of the competition today. Those results will be available by tomorrow morning and we’ll point you to them. The results are compiled and posted on the World Dairy Expo website but I’ll make sure I get that link and provide here on World Dairy Diary as well.
