Meet Your Blogmaster

Chuck ZimmermanUncategorized

Chuck Zimmerman & Linda BehnkeYou always wonder what the person looks like who you’ve spoken with on the phone but you’ve never met. I think the same is true with the blogger you’re reading. Who is this? Well, The World Dairy Expo Blog is being maintained by Chuck Zimmerman, ZimmComm, Marketing & Communications. He’s the one posting everything. In fact, it’s me that’s posting this article (not the best looking one in the picture)!

On the staff, Lisa Behnke, (the better looking one in the picture) is assisting with guidance on content and supplying information. I’ll be posting that information for you and covering the Expo as a very dedicated reporter, before, during and after.

I got to meet Lisa today at the World Dairy Expo Office. She’s was just finishing up the program and was gracious enough to spend some time with me. I’m stopping back in next week and hope to conduct some interviews which I’ll bring you right here, so stay tuned!

BTW. It’s casual Friday. That explains my Hawaiian shirt.

Let's Check Out Dairies South Of The Border

Chuck ZimmermanUncategorized

I seriously think this Expo Blog as we’ll affectionately call it needs to cover this trip! I say let’s blog it. Who’s going with us?

Fly away to enjoy the agriculture and friendship of Mexico’s sunny central plains. World Dairy Expo is hosting a Mexican Expedition November 28 – December 5, 2005. The trip is planned around the Queretaro Exposition and Mexican National Holstein dairy cattle show. Surrounded by the famed aqueducts of this colonial city, participants will experience the area’s famous history and visit the site where the Mexican Constitution was signed. Dairy enthusiasts will conduct technical visits to working dairy farms and industries offering hands-on study of one of Mexico’s strongest milk and cattle producing regions. Side trips include “traditional” and “modern” retail food markets and discussions with dairy industry leaders.

Now here’s the part I really like: The eight-day trip includes siestas, fiestas!

Registration deadline: July 15, 2005. For more information call 1-800-284-1361.
