Select Sires’ updated active A.I. lineups for high-component breed sires feature genetic superstars and breed leaders in every breed. The lineups were updated May 8 to coincide with the USDA’s quarterly release of genetic evaluations.
New Guernsey Sire
New to active A.I. service is 7GU385 Pine Ridge SUPER LUX-ET, a sire who can provide the rare combination of elite milk production and high components for demanding Guernsey dairy producers.
“SUPER LUX provides another high-ranking, proven Guernsey sire to complement Select’s lineup, the largest and most diverse genetic offering available in the A.I. industry,” said Blaine Crosser, vice president of dairy sire product line and sales management for Select Sires.
SUPER LUX is a son of 7GU339 Trotacre Jay Mr LUXURY-ET, a second-crop success known for high milk production and sound functional type scores. His dam is an Excellent (90) Perfecto daughter with records of 27,050 Milk, 5.1 percent Fat and 3.6 percent Protein. SUPER LUX passes these traits to his daughters through a +1,258M +56F +36P (72% Rel.) and is ranked No. 2 in the breed for Fat production. Nineteen of his 25 daughters are scored Very Good (80) or better for udders with exceptional rear udder height and width and correct teat placement. In addition, SUPER LUX enters active service with an impressive No. 5 PTI rank of +182 (67% Rel.).
SUPER LUX also sires daughters with breed-leading stature, body depth and good width of rump. He is a sire of fancy show-winning heifers proven by his 2004 All-American senior calf nominee and All-Canadian summer yearling.
More Guernsey Highlights
Select’s Guernsey lineup also features other sires worth a look for their awesome type and production rankings. Dairy producers like 7GU357 Marodore Enhancer ROY-ET, the breed’s best sire for Milk (+1,515M 91% Rel.) and Type (+1.6T 88% Rel.). ROY builds medium-sized, solid heifers with tremendous udders and had a junior 2-year-old daughter nominated All-American in 2005.

The Jersey breed’s top milk production sire, 7JE670 C-Bar Hallmark GERONIMO, calls Select Sires home and boasts a solid +1,944 Milk (85% Rel.). GERONIMO also carries a Top-10-ranked +210 JPI™ (70% Rel.), extreme udder linears, and has been used as a sire of sons at Select.

Brown Swiss sires 7BS758 Triangle Acres POLLYDEN ET and 7BS750 Hilltop Acres EN DYNASTY ET*TM pack the one-two punch for Brown Swiss breeders looking for top milk production. POLLYDEN tops all sires in the breed with a high +1,649M, ranks second in the breed for PTI and PTA Protein (+226 PTI 74% Rel. +57P 79% Rel.) and is No. 3 for Net Merit at +414NM$. POLLYDEN is a sire father and has gender SELECTed semen available. DYNASTY carries a second-ranked +0.9 PTAT (77% Rel.) in the breed.
