The media room at the Cattle Industry Summer Conference is sponsored by Merial.
Representing Merial is Jim Tate, Marketing Manager. I spent a few minutes with Jim this afternoon getting an update on Igenity. This program seems to keep evolving in what I believe is its third year. He says the program has a lot to offer dairy producers.
Jim says Igenity started out as a DNA testing business but is now able to provide a comprehensive profile of an animal. He says the technology is very computer driven so it can do much more than it used to for less investment by the producer. You can listen to my interview with Jim here: Jim Tate Interview (5 min.
