According to an annoucement by the Midwest Dairy Association, the National Dairy Shrine has awared its 2006 dairy marketing scholarships. These are co-sponsored by America’s dairy producers through the national dairy checkoff program.
National Dairy Shrine Student Recognition Program Scholarship winners from Minnesota include:
· Lisa M. Thompson, Starbuck – University of Minnesota-Twin Cities
· Robyn L. Schnobrich, New Ulm – University of Minnesota-Twin Cities
· Bradley L. Davis, Cokato – University of Minnesota-Twin Cities
· Justin W. Reeck, Paynesville – University of Minnesota-Twin Cities
· Leah N. Johnson, LaCrescent – University of Wisconsin-River Falls
Other winners are:
· Annie L. Whitehill – Kansas State University
· Griffin P. Moag – Cornell University
· Natalie E. Keene – Virginia Tech
· Becky L. Martin – University of Wisconsin-Platteville
Awards are being presented this week during the National Dairy Shrine Awards Banquet at the 2006 World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wis. The dairy checkoff also will sponsor the travel costs for the top three contestants to the Agriculture Future of America Conference in Kansas City, Mo., in November.
