Well the New York Jets didn’t win today but they still have their ice cream. It’s the Jets Sundae Blitz by Turkey Hill Dairy. Here’s what they were saying before the game.
Win or lose, bragging rights for this year’s opening round of NFL playoffs might come down to which team has the better official ice cream flavor. At least that’s what Jets fans are hoping. To celebrate Sunday’s game against New England, New York football fans are stocking up on Jets Sundae Blitz — a creation from Turkey Hill Dairy featuring chocolate ice cream, peanut butter swirls, and choco-peanut butter footballs — in a demonstration of team loyalty.
“If it’s a battle of the flavors, the Jets win easily,” said Turkey Hill Dairy president, Quintin Frey. “Not only because you can’t beat peanut butter-filled chocolate footballs, but also because New England’s team doesn’t even have an official ice cream flavor. That is a disadvantage that will be hard for New England to overcome.”
By the way, they have a blog called The Ice Cream Journal.
