Favored Inc. has launched a new brand of milk that provides beneficial nutrients through natural means. The products — half-gallon varieties of whole, reduced fat, low fat and fat free milk — provide a natural source of healthful Omega-3 and conjugated linoleic acid, or CLA, nutrients.
The products are available at Indiana’s Marsh Supermarkets and participating Big Y World Class Markets, Dave’s Marketplace and Roche Bros. stores in the Northeast region of the United States.
“We are targeting health-conscious people who probably already live healthy lifestyles,” said John Schiering, president of Favored’s dairy division.
Under its patent-pending system, the company selected corn varieties and other grains that produce the specific recipe for dairy cows to produce milk with naturally existing Omega-3 and CLA. All components of the system including seed, grain, dairy cattle and milk processing, are based in Indiana.
Secretary and treasurer David Page said Favored’s process of adding nutrients through the feed ration improves the flavor of the milk products.
