Congratulations to Laurie Breuch, the new Dairy Cattle Show Coordinator at World Dairy Expo.
Laurie will assist with all aspects of hosting the world’s premier dairy cattle show, including processing entries and organizing eight national and international breed shows.
Laurie will also work with World Dairy Expo’s for-profit subsidiary, WDE Management, Inc., which oversees the Dane County Fair and provides management services to the Wisconsin Rural Opportunities Foundation, Inc. (WROF), North American Intercollegiate Dairy Challenge (NAIDC) and Purebred Dairy Cattle Association (PDCA).
Laurie is a graduate of the Madison Junior College of Business, where she majored in executive office administration. While working toward her degree, she was employed for two years as an administrative assistant at World Dairy Expo. Since 1995, she has worked at Rehabilitation For Wisconsin, Inc. During that time, she has served as an administrative assistant, management analyst and business systems manager for Wisconsin’s Rest Area Maintenance Program.
A native of Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, Breuch grew up working with her family’s Registered Holstein cattle at Lafollette Holsteins. She is an active member of the Dane County and Wisconsin Holstein Associations, having chaired several district shows and a state convention. For the past 18 years, Breuch has taken a week’s vacation to volunteer during World Dairy Expo. In addition to processing over 3,000 cattle entries during the weeks prior to the show, she spends the week of the show assisting with cattle check-in and inputting and double-checking show results. She is also responsible for directing the set-up of the Friday night World Classic Sale and helps orchestrate the Supreme Champion Ceremony at the close of the show.
