The final ZimmComm publication survey drawing winner is a World Dairy Diary reader.
The winner for January is Rita Ruud, a nutritionist with North Dakota State University and she will be receiving a check in the mail for $250 for taking just about two minutes of her time to fill out our survey and help us do a better job of serving the folks who read this on-line publication.
This is the third month for the ZimmComm publication survey and we have now received enough responses to make it statistically significant, so we would like to sincerely thank all of you who took the time to help us out.
Here’s some of what we learned from the survey:
First, the largest percentage of our readership are dairy farmers or milk producers – about 14%. Another 11% are nutritionists in the dairy business and about 7% are consultants. Over ten percent of respondents said they were with dairy organizations, media, or in public relations for agribusiness. About two in ten of our visitors are consumers, students, homemakers or retirees – falling into the “other” category. We also have a good number of beef cattle producers, farmers, and input dealers in the other category.
We had responses from 33 different states and three other countries besides the United States. The states with the most responses are among the largest dairy producing states – Wisconsin, California, Florida, Pennsylvania, New York, Kentucky, and Michigan.
Thanks again to everyone who filled out the survey!
