Yogurt-maker Dannon Co. has announced an agreement with McCarty Dairy of Kansas to have the dairy farm be the only supplier of milk to the Dannon yogurt factory in Fort Worth, Tx.

The McCarty family milks nearly 7,200 cows daily. A processing plant pasteurizes the milk and strips out water. The dried milk will be used by Dannon for its yogurt.

It took about two years to reach the agreement, said family patriarch Tom McCarty, who declined to discuss the financial details.
