Phoenix-based Shamrock Farms is building a manufacturing facility in Augusta County, Va.
The 130,000-square-foot plant is expected to open in late 2014, employing up to 60 people.
The new plant will provide Shamrock with dual manufacturing capabilities, allowing the company to respond to increasing demand for its dairy products. It will feature the latest in extended shelf life (ESL) technology, which allows milk to stay fresher for longer periods. The dairy will work to source milk from local Virginia farmers.
