The International Dairy Foods Association has opened submissions for the IDFA Dairy Innovations Awards. At the 2013 International Dairy Show, IDFA will award winners in the following award categories:
- Food Safety
- Ingredient/Flavoring/Seasoning/Additive
- Packaging
- Processing
- Sustainability
- Attendee/Readers Choice Award
Entries should offer one or more of the following qualities:
- Substantial achievement in price/performance
- Significant advancement in a technology or its application
- Innovative design
Submissions will be on display, in poster format, near the Innovations Showcase Pavilion in the Dairy Show Exhibit hall. As co-sponsors of the awards, Dairy Foods magazine readers will be able to cast their vote online for their favorite innovation. In addition, attendees of the International Dairy Show will also vote on for the Attendee/Reader Choice Award. Voting will be done on-site and will end at noon, Tuesday, November 5, 2013.
Award winners will be promoted in a future edition of Dairy Foods Magazine. The staff of the International Dairy Foods Association and select industry professionals will be judging submissions. IDFA will notify finalist on or before September 20, 2013. The award winners will be announced on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from the International Dairy Show iDairyShow Theater in the South Hall of McCormick Place.
