Jamba Juice Company and GENYOUth Foundation have announced a multi-year partnership agreement that leverages the unique assets and leadership of both organizations to support students across the country.
Jamba Juice and GENYOUth share a commitment to the health and vitality of our nation’s youth, and will combine forces to work with schools, community groups and other national organizations to design programs and initiatives, which impact better dietary and physical activity habits in children.
Jamba Juice and GENYOUth’s efforts kicked off in May with a “Team Up For a Healthy Breakfast Challenge” in Pasadena high schools that successfully drove incremental participation in school cafeteria breakfasts. The challenge encouraged students to eat a nutritious breakfast through a fun competition among schools.
Moving forward, Jamba Juice and GENYOUth will come together around other initiatives including regional Town Halls in San Francisco and St. Louis. The Town Halls will bring together leaders across education, nutrition, fitness, and community groups, as well as students and parents, in order to address current health issues and develop solutions at a local level. Jamba Juice will also be supporting GENYOUth’s entrepreneurial pitch and invest program, AdVenture Capital, which rewards grants to students and gives them the opportunity to own change in their schools.
