Animal Health International was one of the many agribusinesses supporting and reaching out to agricultural youth at the recent 87th annual National FFA Convention in Louisville.
“Animal Health International is the largest privately-held distributor of animal health products in North America,” said AHI Marketing Communications Manager Bill Sirico. “Supporting youth in agriculture is written directly into our mission statement as a company and we take that mission very seriously.”
Sirico says they talked to the students who stopped by their booth about the many career opportunities in the animal health field. “We employ pharmacists, veterinarians and we have about 400 sales people,” he said, noting that sales and marketing is an important aspect of agribusiness. “Someone has to get the product from the manufacturers to the farms and the producers.”
