The American Meat Science Association (AMSA) 69th annual Reciprocal Meat Conference (RMC), which serves as the annual meeting for AMSA, will be held in San Angelo, Texas, from June 19-22, 2016, and will be hosted by Angelo State University.
RMC features a dynamic, interactive technical program that offers attendees an inspiring, educational experience, and a wonderful networking opportunity. Leading industry experts will be present, providing attendees with a multitude of useful information through traditional keynote presentations and several diverse reciprocation sessions.
The 800 plus attendees that attend this conference include meat science professionals in academia, government and industry, as well as a strong attendance by both undergraduate and graduate students in the meat, food and animal science fields. Several events are catered specifically for student attendees, including Iron Chef & Taste of RMC competition events.
San Angelo’s deep history in agriculture make it an perfect choice for this year’s conference. Attendees will be exposed to some of the incredibly unique food experiences true to the town, which serves as the annual host for the Producer’s Livestock Auction, the nation’s largest auction for sheep and lambs, and has served as a trade center for farmers and ranchers dating back to the 1800s. Early bird registration fee for an AMSA professional member is $570, AMSA student member is $240 and a nonmember is $850. The standard registration fee after May 3 is $700 for professional members, $300 for student members and $925 for nonmembers.
