The Novus International booth at the 2016 International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE) was full of discussion about plans, goals, and upcoming projects, especially surrounding the company’s announcement related to a major expansion of the Alimet feed supplement manufacturing capacity in the United States Gulf Coast region.
“I’m very excited about our expansion project, and I’ve been working with the project team to get that project sited and to start designing and ordering equipment,” said Jeff Klopfenstein, President of the Methionine Business Unit for Novus, in an interview at the 2016 IPPE. “We’re growing along with our customers. We’re fortunate that our customers are some of the fastest growing in the world, and they count on us to grow our business along with them to meet their needs.”
The 120,000 ton expansion of the facility that manufactures Alimet, a gold standard feed supplement that provides a source of methionine, an essential amino acid, for livestock, is set to begin in 2020.
“Methionine is the bedrock of Novus, its a product that our customers need, and we’re a major supplier all around the world,” said Klopfenstein, “We’re looking forward to completing this expansion project and continuing to grow with our customers.”
