Sustainability is central to the mission of Novus International, and Jake Piel, Sustainability Manager for Novus, was on hand during the 2016 International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE) to discuss some of the ways the company is working to keep the industry sustainable, both within the company and through the products and services it offers customers.
“Sustainability is part of our triple S bottom line at Novus: solutions, service and sustainability. So not only is it in our tag line, we see it every day, and it is something that we actively practice throughout the organization,” said Piel during an interview at IPPE. “We try to do that internally by trying to optimize some of our own practices to lesson the sustainability impact on the planet, be it through energy conservation projects on our manufacturing plants, or through logistics optimization projects for transporting our products all the way around the world.”
Sustainability also plays a major role in Novus’ commitment to providing exemplary customer service, as well as its efforts to discover and market innovative products that work to improve production while using less resources.
“I think first and foremost i want our customers to know that we’re here to help them. I know they’re being faced with different questions in regards to their production practices than they’ve ever faced before,” said Piel. “I want them to know that we’re behind them and that we’re helping to provide products and services that are going to help them further their own sustainability goals.”
