One of the missions of Ceva is to provide high quality, low cost protein to the world and while at the Ceva Swine U.S. Launch and Scientific Symposium, CEO & North America/Pacific Zone Director for Ceva, Craig Wallace, shared more about their commitment to pork.
“It’s a dream for the organization. As we talked about how we can serve the world, we knew we had to start with North America. This is the largest swine market in the world.” It is common knowledge if you want to be in the swine business you have to be in the U.S. swine business.
Wallace said they are at the very beginning when it comes to the type of solutions Ceva will bring to the industry. “We will be bringing vaccines, we will be bringing pharmaceuticals, but more than anything else we will be listening to the producer, listening the veterinarian. Help us understand the issues you are facing and how can we help.”
Equipment solutions are also on the docket differentiating them from others. “We believe we can reduce labor costs because we can use the technology we have on the poultry side for the swine side. Using fewer people, getting better injections, at a lower cost without forgetting ethics.”
This expansion into swine means Ceva is growing. Wallace said they are looking for the best of the best to join their team. “We aren’t going to be the biggest, but our expectation is to be the best.” Listen to Chuck’s complete interview with Wallace here: Interview with Craig Wallace, Ceva
