Feed & Grain has announced that Feed & Grain LIVE, along with the Preventive Controls for Animal Food course, presented by Iowa State University and the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA), will be held at Prairie Meadows Casino and Conference Center in Altoona, Iowa. Feed & Grain LIVE will be held Aug. 22-23, with the Preventive Controls for Animal Food course starting immediately after on Aug. 23-25.
The Preventive Controls for Animal Food course is the standardized Preventive Control Qualified Individual curriculum. The course was created by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance under contract with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The program is targeted for individuals responsible for animal feed and feed ingredient safety at milling and processing facilities, and upon completion, attendees will receive a Certificate of Completion as a Preventive Control Qualified Individual.
This year’s breakout educational sessions at Feed & Grain LIVE center around three tracks: Feed, Grain, and Safety & Management. The event will also feature a trade show with more than 40 exhibitors, and a networking reception on the opening night with complimentary food and beverages. Rod Paulson, vice president of CHS Processing within the retail division of CHS, will serve as the opening keynote speaker. The Feed & Grain LIVE schedule can be found here.
The combined events offer an unbeatable learning opportunity for those in the feed and grain industry responsible for food safety, and a $50 discount on Feed & Grain LIVE is available to PCQI course students.
