Agriculture secretary Tom Vilsack has announced the reappointment of four board members to serve on the 2017 American Lamb Board. Each appointee will serve a second three-year term.
James “Jim” Percival of Xenia, Ohio and Diane Josephy Peavey of Hailey, Idaho will be representing producers. Dale Thorne of Hanover, Michigan will be representing feeders and Greg Ahart of Sacramento, California will be representing first handlers.
Dale Thorne serves on ALB’s Executive Committee as Treasurer, is the Chair of the Research Committee and was recently appointed as the US Mentor for the new Tri-Lamb Young Leader Program.
Jim Percival serves on ALB’s Research Committee and has been a key spokesperson for the American Lamb Board at industry meetings and events including the National Farm Broadcasters Trade Talk.
Diane Peavey serves on ALB’s Executive Committee as Vice Chairman and she and her husband John are the founders of the Trailing of the Sheep festival in Ketchum, Idaho.
Greg Ahart is the Chair of ALB’s Marketing Committee and represents the American Lamb Board on the US Meat Export Federation Board of Directors.
