Want to attend the 2014 Pennsylvania Dairy Summit? If you are a student between the ages of 17 – 25, apply to receive financial assistance, made available by the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association and the Center for Dairy Excellence.
Considered the premier dairy event in Pennsylvania, the summit is moving to a new venue in 2014, offering four distinct program tracks to provide cutting edge information for today’s dairy managers and agribusiness leaders. A “Young Entrepreneur’s Track” looks at dairy technology and innovation to prepare the next generation of dairy owners and managers to lead Pennsylvania’s dairy industry into the future.
Young adults qualifying for the scholarship will only need to pay $25 to register for the summit. Applicants must operate or be employed on a dairy farm, or be enrolled in an agricultural degree program at a college or trade school.
Scholarships are also available to offset hotel costs on a first-come, first-serve basis only. Up to 25 hotel scholarships are available for Dairy Leader Scholarship winners. Each hotel scholarship has a maximum value of $115 per night, and may be used only on February 11 and/or 12, 2014.
The scholarship application deadline is January 17, 2014.
