The Dairy Calf and Heifer Association (formerly Professional Dairy Heifer Growers Association), has announced five regional profit seminars to be held in June. The sessions are one day only and will feature the latest developments in the dairy calf and heifer raising industry. Register on-site or visit the organization’s website.
Featured speakers include Jon Robison of University of California-Davis and Sam Barringer of Pfizer Animal Health, at the first three locations. Robinson will discuss transitioning calves and heifer growth; Barringer is a nationally recognized expert in calf ranch veterinary medicine. Tom Fuhrmann, a dairy cattle veterinarian, and Al Kertz, of ANDHIL, noted authority on dairy nutrition, will speak at Clovis and Dalhart. In addition, a speaker from the Dairy Beef Quality Assurance Program will address the programs’ benefits and funding sources.
