Numbers in from 2014 World Dairy Expo

wde-14-8-editedThe 2014 World Dairy Expo has released the show summary complete with show results and attendance. This year 77,204 was the grand total of people who attended the global event. 3,248 of them were international guests from 94 countries. Top five countries represented were Canada, Mexico, China, Brazil and Colombia.

There were 835 companies from 24 countries who had commercial exhibits. 44 U.S. states and six Canadian provinces were represented. A special congratulations goes to DeLaval for being awarded the Large Booth winner, Agri-King for Intermediate Booth winner and Nutriad, Inc. for winning the Small Booth award.

On to cattle numbers. Seven dairy breeds were exhibited with a grand total of 2,334 total head on the grounds. Holstein’s topped the list with 528 head. Followed by Jersey with 401. There were 1,743 dairy cattle exhibitors from 37 states, 11 Canadian provinces and Mexico.
