South Dakota Soybean Processors and World Food Processing have joined together to produce a supply of non-GMO soybean meal for animal feed. The companies are working to meet increased consumer demand for organic and natural foods.
“Being non-GMO from the beginning seed to the finished feed will allow brands the option to choose to feed their herds non-GMO,” said Jerry Lorenzen, CEO and founder of World Food Processing. “It is the commitment to non-GMO natural consumers deserve.”
“By partnering with World Food Processing, we are position to have a robust source of non-GMO soybeans. We believe we can meet the demand for non-GMO soybean meal in an economical and sustainable fashion,” said Tom Kersting CEO of South Dakota Soybean Processing.
South Dakota Soybean Processors and World Food Processing intend to offer Non-GMO Project Verified soybean meal and organic soybean meal as early as this July.
