Senate Ag Committee to Hold Hearing on COOL

Screen Shot 2015-06-23 at 9.05.16 AMThe Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry will hold a hearing on Country of Origin Labeling (COOL) and trade retaliations on Thursday, June 25 at 10am to discuss what is at stake for America’s farmers, ranchers, businesses and consumers.

The hearing will take place in G50 Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington D.C. and webcast live on ag.senate.gov.

U.S. Senator Pat Roberts, R-Kan., Chairman of the Committee has announced the following panelists to speak during the hearing:
– Mr. Barry Carpenter, CEO, North American Meat Institute, Washington, D.C.
– Mr. Craig Hill, President, Iowa Farm Bureau Federation on behalf of American Farm Bureau Federation, Milo, Iowa
– Mr. Leo McDonnell, Executive Officer and Director Emeritus for the United States Cattlemen’s Association, Rhame, N.D.
– Mr. Jaret Moyer, President, Kansas Livestock Association, Emporia, Kan.
– Mr. Jim Trezise, President, New York Wine & Grape Foundation, Canandaigua, N.Y.
– Mr. Chris Cuddy, Senior Vice President and President of ADM’s Corn Processing Business Unit, Archer Daniels Midland Company, Decatur, Ill.
