Brangus breeders are invited to the Town Creek Farm in West Point, Mississippi, for the 2015 Fall Brangus Conference and Southeast Brangus Breeders Association Field Day, Aug. 20-22. Town Creek Farm has details about the event:
August 20 and 21 offers International Brangus Breeders Association (IBBA) members an opportunity to attend breed committee meetings as well as an open IBBA Board of Directors’ meeting. Members can participate in kick-off events of a Three-Man Golf Scramble at the Old Waverly Championship Golf Club or a Skeet Shoot at Prairie Wildlife which offers some of the finest sporting experiences anywhere. Both venues are located in West Point, MS. Reservations required.
An industry trade show will be open on Friday and Saturday, August 21 and 22 at the TCF Pavilion. Take home innovations from trade show exhibitors ranging from animal health providers to Mossy Oak Properties whose headquarters are in West Point, Mississippi.
A noon luncheon on August 21 will be highlighted by feature speaker Chandler Keys. Keys is principal at Keys Group, based in Washington, D.C. He previously served as vice president for government and industry relations for JBS USA, and before that was head of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association’s Washington, D.C., office as vice president of government affairs…
On Saturday, August 22, the public can hear widely recognized cattlemen and industry experts discuss topics such as “Assessing the Future of the Beef Cattle Industry,” “Top Five Management Strategies for Herd Biosecurity,” “Weed Management Tactics in Grazing Pastures,” and “Whata You Wanna Give – From Steaks to Bulls”.
Other highlights include a Hoedown party open to the public on Friday evening, August 21, and a luncheon for cattlemen and their spouses on Saturday, August 22.
