Four athlete-and-horse combinations, as well as one traveling reserve athlete-and-horse combination, were named this week by The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) to the U.S. Olympic Dressage Team for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. One direct reserve horse has also been named. A direct reserve horse would be an automatic replacement should the original horse on which the athlete was named need to be substituted.

The Olympic Dressage competition will take place August 8-15, 2016, at the Deodoro Olympic Equestrian Center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Laura Graves, Steffen Peters, Allison Brock, and Kasey Perry-Glass were named the four members of the 2016 Olympic Dressage Team USA, along with their horses Verdades, a 2002 KWPN gelding, Legolas 92, a 2002 Westphalian gelding, Rosevelt, a 2002 Hanoverian stallion, and Dublet, a 2003 Danish Warmblood gelding.

Shelly Francis, along with Doktor, a 2003 Oldenburg gelding, were named the traveling reserve combination, and Rosamunde, a 2007 Rheinlander mare, was named the reserve horse.
