Pennsylvania Ag Secretary, Dennis Wolff announced that there will be one new member appointed to the Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program. He re-appointed six current members.

“We are fortunate to have dedicated dairy producers who take an active role in guiding and leading the industry through programs like the Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program, helping dairy to remain the economic driver for agriculture — the number one industry in the state,” said Wolff. The 21 board members are nominated by peers within the industry and appointed by Secretary Wolff, each serving a three-year term.

Vernon Horst of Chambersburg is a new board member appointed to his first term. Returning members are Bertha Ackerson, Marion Center; Harold Bailey, Roaring Spring; Christine Cooney, Spartansburg; Raymond Diebold, Altoona; Rita Kennedy, Valencia; and Harold Shaulis, Somerset.
