Championship Dairy Product Contest Kicking Off
I hope these folks are in need of a serious calcium fix. The 2006 World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Product Contest is about to get underway. They’ve added a few categories like buttermilk, whipping cream, sherbet, sour cream based dips and additional whey categories.
Not Happy With USDA
According to IDFA, USDA is getting some pressure from a lot of dairy companies and cooperatives over their recent decision to delay milk price formula changes. The letter was signed by 25 executives.

Ralph Keeling Award Nominations Open

Promoting Each Other's Shows
The IDFA is going to be taking an active role in the American Beverage Association’s InterBev 2006 this fall and conversely, the ABA is going to be doing the same for IDFA’s Worldwide Food Expo next year in Chicago.

Mischa's Got Milk
The latest addition to the MilkPep “Got Milk” campaign is actress Mischa Barton. She credits the nutrients in milk for helping keep her healthy and strong during the hectic pace of filming. The ad copy reads: “Take 9. On the set they are screaming ‘action’ all day. And thanks to the 9 essential nutrients in milk, I’ve always got what it takes to nail it.” The ad debuts in Teen People.
