This issue gives a factual update on recent developments in dairy trade and a focus on Asia. The publication covers: The rapid development of China’s dairy sector, India’s dairy situation and prospects, Mongolia: milk production, processing, consumption and outlook 2010. Proliferation of Bilateral Trade Agreements is also being looked at in this issue. Bilateral and plurilateral trade agreements, referred to as preferential trade agreements (PTAs) are proliferating, particularly in Asia, and the trend looks likely to accelerate. What will be the impact on dairy? Is this a good or bad thing?
