A bronze sculpture of a Jersey heifer created by Carol M. Herden and donated to the Maurice E. Core Jersey Youth Fund by the Iowa Jersey Cattle Club, raised $5,430 for the youth fund. Sold at the 50th National Heifer Sale, held June 30 at the fairgrounds in Rock Rapids, Iowa, the donation wil be used to support national Jersey youth activities, primarily at The All American Jersey Show & Sale.
The Iowa Jersey Cattle Club made the largest single contribution to the Core Fund at $1,000. COBA/Select Sires, Columbus, Ohio, added the second largest donation at $500.
