Kroger Introduces 3/4 Gallon

Kroger grocery stores, based in Cincinnati, Ohio is testing a 3/4 gallon of milk in select Ohio stores. The move is in response to growing concerns with the nation’s food prices.

Kroger is marketing the 3/4 gallon size in response to reports that consumers are buying smaller sizes of food so they don’t have to put out as much money at one time.

  1. Do you really believe that Kroger is coming out with a 3/4 gallon of milk because the coustomers want it. If so, I have a beautiful lot here in southern Florida that I will sell you really cheap. It would be interesting if someone would check the price of this 3/4 gallon of milk. Amazing!! It is almost the same price as the gallon? Reminds me of the half empty potato chip bag and more recently the shrinking ice cream container. Anything to “help” out the consumer!! Thats the motto of the food producers.

  4. right, so now they will just be selling you more plastic and less milk, well, I suppose many of the same people who buy the 1/2 gallon will buy this. give me a reusable 2 gallon container please, where’s the milk refill station like they have for water?

  7. I like the 3/4 gallon. I can never use a full gallon before it goes bad, and the 3/4 gallon seems to be just enough. Also, the container fits perfectly in my apartments small sized fridge.
