Dairy Council of California Welcomes New CEO

Melissa SandfortAgribusiness, Company Announcement

I want to take a moment to introduce myself as the new CEO of Dairy Council of California. After years of dedication to the health of kids, nutrition education and milk and milk products, it is with great pride I assume this role.

My journey with Dairy Council of CA began 15 years ago when I started here as a regional manager. Since then, I have served in various capacities within the organization, including my most recent position as Director of Program Services in charge of the development of our nutrition education materials for the schools.

It has been my privilege to support California dairy farmers and milk processors in their efforts to help children and adults build healthy eating habits, and I will remain committed to Dairy Council of CA’s core nutrition education foundation. I also look forward to taking us to the next level to reach more kids, more ways, more often.

I am fortunate to have the right people at my side who share my passion for milk and milk products and possess the ability to achieve our organizational goals. I am thrilled to be able to lead this phenomenal staff and serve our customers and consumers by continuing to deliver the best in nutrition education for families.

I look forward to hearing your ideas, feedback and healthy eating stories as I start my next journey as Dairy Council of California’s CEO.

I look forward to hearing your personal thoughts on this issue seeings how there is too much available from the government already. Sincerely, Denise

  4. Thank you for your question Denise. Dairy Council of California’s mission is nutrition education and I’m not in a position to influence regulations on raw milk or any other product. I am, along with all of our staff members, working hard every day to help California’s school children and families realize the incredible versatility, value and irreplaceable package of nutrients that milk has to offer.
