Here’s a first in a series of interviews with the winners of the New Holland 1st Cut Competition. I spoke by phone with Tyler Egeland of Iowa who submitted a very creative photo into the contest.

Tyler proposes to his girl friend by cutting the words, “Lauren, will you marry me?” into an alfalfa field using a New Holland Speedrower. He then did a flyover in a plane to take a picture of it. That sure got some attention and now he’s engaged!

Each winner of the 1st Cut Competition receives a one-year lease or the first 1,500 bales, whichever comes first on a New Holland Roll-Belt 450 Silage Special. Tyler is ready to bale some corn stover so he can’t wait to get his baler.
