GEA Engineering Group made an impressive presence at the 2015 World Dairy Expo, showcasing an expansive trade show booth centered around the company’s DairyProQ robotic rotary milking parlor.
“It’s been the center point of the booth, there have been lots of people talking about it, lots of people coming and looking at it,” said Robotic Sales Specialist Paul Burdell during the expo, “it’s been kind of the focal point here.”
The DairyProQ features a modular based system; each stall has its own modular unit, complete with a milking cluster, pulsator, and milk meter.
“The platform for the system is to fuse those modules into multiple applications in the future, including boxes, and maybe some parallel parlor options as well,” said Burdell, “Over the years, the automated systems have been geared more towards the smaller farms, but I’m starting to see more and more interest from customers that are milking 500 cows or more.”
